Do I Really Need an Email Autoresponder?

By now you should have heard the saying, "it's all in the list." But how do you build that list? And how do you communicate with that list? Well that is where autoresponders come into play. Autoresponders are used as an email follow up system. They keep track of all the people that have signed up on your page. They also let you send emails to those that have signed up. So as your list continues to grow, your business will also continue to grow.

Now what should you look for in an autoresponder?

1. Delivery Rates The first thing you should look for is high delivery rates. Your newsletter or sales letter may be high converting, but if it does not get delivered it will not matter much. Look for a service that has a delivery rate of over 90 percent.

2. Personalized Messages Now I know most autoresponders offer this service, but there are a few that don't. So you want a service where you can personalize a customer?s name. Instead of calling them "Dear Reader," you can call them by their name. This will help your customers feel more at ease with you. You will be able to come down to their level which will ultimately help your sales.

3. Customer Service Quality customer service is something that you should seek in your autoresponder service. Some services today offer telephone numbers and email support. But there are also others that support Live Chat during business hours, Live Video Seminars, and extensive training guides that will help you get your autoresponder series of emails going. I, myself find the Live Chat and extensive training guides to help me greatly in my campaigns.

4. Free Autoresponder Now the last thing I recommend is NOT, I repeat, NOT to use a "FREE" autoresponder service. They may not cost you money out of your pocket, but they will cost you money from your sales. You will get ads on all your emails that are sent out, and some even have pop up banners all over their site. One free autoresponder is freeautobot.com. I tried this service and it was just horrendous. Pop-up ads and banners while I am trying to do my work. And ads on the bottom of my emails. Sure it was free but it was just not worth it. So I suggest using a service that costs more but gives you more than your moneys worth.

So these are just a few things that you should look for in your autoresponder service. High delivery rates, personalized messages, great customer service, and a quality service that might cost a bit are qualities that you should look for in your service. Once you pick the service that's right for you, you're on your way to creating and expanding your internet marketing business. So good luck and have fun trying to look for your preferred service.
