In order to improve your email
marketing campaign, you need to know which messages
get better results so you can keep using them.
You also need to know which ones are not effective so you
can change them. That's why it's essential to track your
messages results.
You can track the open rate of HTML messages by putting
a different tiny white image in each of your messages, so
each time someone opens your message, the image is requested
from your server. By checking your server log files, you
will discover how many times each image file was requested
which means how many times each message was opened.
Unfortunately there's no way to track how many times a
plain text message has been opened.
For tracking your links click-throughs, you can create
a separate redirect page for each link, so each time someone
clicks on a link the target page is requested from your
server. You can find the number of requests for every redirect
page in your server logs which shows the number of click-throughs
for each link in your message.
You don't have to go through all the above hassles if you
use a good autoresponder service like Aweber,

Final Thoughts
Like any other work, email marketing needs hard work and
patience to give you long-term results. You won't have a
